Refund & Cancellation Policy

Future Guru is committed to transparency regarding payments, subscriptions, and enterprise agreements. This Refund Policy outlines when refunds are applicable and how to request them.

1. Overview

Future Guru provides enterprise-grade AI solutions on a subscription basis (monthly, annual, or custom enterprise terms). We aim to ensure complete satisfaction with our services. This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which refunds, credits, or adjustments may be issued. By purchasing or subscribing to our Services, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

We believe in fair, transparent billing. If you experience service defects qualifying for refunds, we will work with you to find the best resolution โ€” including credits or partial refunds when justified.

2. Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds are generally not provided for used subscription periods, but exceptions apply in the following cases:

  • Duplicate or erroneous charges: If you were accidentally charged twice or for an incorrect amount, we will issue a full refund upon verification.
  • Service unavailability: Extended downtime exceeding 24 hours (outside scheduled maintenance) may qualify for pro-rated refunds or service credits.
  • Subscription cancellation within 7 days: For new monthly subscriptions (first-time customers), you may cancel within 7 days of the initial purchase for a full refund, provided you have not exceeded usage limits (e.g., 500 API calls).
  • Annual plan early termination: Customers on annual plans who cancel after the first 30 days may receive a pro-rated refund for the unused portion, minus a 10% processing fee.
  • Non-delivery of service: If Future Guru permanently discontinues a core feature or service without reasonable replacement, you may request a pro-rated refund.

Note: Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10โ€“14 business days after approval.

3. Subscription Plans & Renewals

All standard subscriptions (Professional, Business, Enterprise trial) automatically renew at the end of the billing cycle unless canceled in writing at least 7 days before the renewal date. Refunds for automatic renewals are available only if the renewal was processed in error (e.g., after a valid cancellation request). We strongly recommend setting up cancellation reminders.

4. Enterprise / Custom Agreements

Enterprise customers with custom Master Service Agreements (MSAs) or Order Forms: refund terms are governed by the specific contract. In the absence of contractual provisions, the following default applies: early termination fees may be negotiated, but prepaid fees are generally non-refundable unless Future Guru materially breaches the agreement. Contact your account executive for details.

5. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Send an email to billing@futureguru.ai with the subject line โ€œRefund Request โ€” [Account ID]โ€.
  2. Include your registered email, invoice number (if any), reason for refund, and supporting documentation (e.g., error logs, duplicate charge screenshots).
  3. Our Billing team will review within 5 business days and may request additional details.
  4. If approved, we will process the refund to your original payment method within 14 days.

Unauthorized chargebacks filed without prior refund request may result in suspension of your account and additional recovery fees. We always encourage direct communication first.

6. Service Credits & Downtime

Instead of monetary refunds, Future Guru may offer service credits for SLA violations (as outlined in our Terms of Service). Credits are applied to future invoices and are not redeemable for cash. For example, monthly uptime below 99.9% triggers a 10% credit.

Service credits do not apply to third-party outages, force majeure, or client-side misconfiguration. To claim a credit, submit a ticket within 7 days of the incident.

7. Chargebacks & Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting our support team, we may suspend your account and refer the matter to collections. If a chargeback is resolved in our favor, you agree to pay a $25 dispute fee plus any associated bank charges. We encourage users to resolve billing inquiries directly with us to avoid service interruption.

8. Cancellation & Data Retention

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account dashboard or by emailing support@futureguru.ai. Upon cancellation:

  • Access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • No additional charges will be incurred after cancellation.
  • Your Customer Data will be retained for 60 days after cancellation, after which it will be permanently deleted unless a longer retention is required by law or an enterprise agreement states otherwise.
  • Refunds for partial months are not provided unless covered under section 2 (Eligibility).

9. Non-Refundable Items

The following fees and services are non-refundable under any circumstances:

  • Setup fees, implementation services, custom model training, or professional services already rendered.
  • API usage beyond the initial free tier (already consumed credits are non-refundable).
  • Late payment fees, interest, or collection costs.
  • Subscriptions purchased through third-party resellers (please contact the reseller directly).
  • Discounted or promotional price plans where terms explicitly stated โ€œnon-refundableโ€.
